The Zambia School of Biblical Studies exists for the purpose of training men to be preachers of the gospel. It offers courses in the Bible and Bible related subjects necessary to that end. This school strives for the highest quality possible in teachers, students, and courses of study.

The motto of the school is found in 2 Timothy 2:2 where Paul said, “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” Furthermore, we see the great example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who chose twelve men to train for His work for a period of three years.

How wonderful it is to be able to train faithful men of God to be better servants in His Kingdom. Additionally, what a privilege it is to be involved in accomplishing the greatest task which we have ever been given by our Lord, that is to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15,16).

OBJECTIVES

To provide quality instruction for men who desire to serve in the Kingdom as gospel preachers.
To offer a well-rounded program of studies in the Bible and related subjects.
To prepare men as much as possible for whatever opportunities or problems they may face as gospel preachers.
To strive for the highest quality in teacher and student.
To relieve the shortage of African gospel preachers.
To equip African evangelists so that they may be better able to edify African Christians, equipping them with the Word of the Lord throughout Africa.
To relieve American churches of the burden of responsibility for perpetually sending missionaries into Africa.
To exalt the Bible as the verbally inspired Word of God, perfect and complete, without error or contradiction.
To emphasize the need for accepting the Word of God as final authority in matters of faith and practice.

SUPPORT POLICY

It is not within the purpose or objectives of the Zambia School of Biblical Studies to offer any support to its students after their graduation. Furthermore, the school will not assist its graduates in finding personal support (salary) from foreign sources for any period of time for any reason. It has been necessary for the school to adopt this policy because it has become evident that the local preacher who receives foreign support and the local congregation he serves will never attain full maturity.
